OCTOPUS

The Octopus are found in tropical and temperate waters. They have bulbous head,
large eyes, eight arms with smooth skin, and internal shells. The Octopus is a typical
dish in many countries. It has a tender texture and smoother skin as compared to Squid or Cuttlefish. Some cuisines are served raw as a part of sushi dishes or served as carpaccio.

The octopus is a highly intelligent marine animal that belongs to the cephalopod group, which also includes squid and cuttlefish. Although it is sometimes referred to as an “octopus fish,” it is not a fish but a soft-bodied invertebrate. Octopuses are found in oceans all over the world, especially in coral reefs, rocky sea-beds, and deep-sea environments where they can hide and hunt.

An octopus is easily recognized by its round body, large head, and eight flexible arms lined with suction cups. These arms are incredibly strong and sensitive, allowing the octopus to grasp objects, open shells, and even solve simple problems. Unlike many other sea creatures, the octopus has no internal or external skeleton, giving it the ability to squeeze through very small spaces to escape predators or search for food.

One of the most fascinating features of the octopus is its ability to change color and texture almost instantly. Using specialized skin cells, it can blend perfectly with its surroundings to avoid detection or communicate with other octopuses. Additionally, it can release a cloud of ink to confuse predators while making a quick escape. Known for their intelligence, octopuses can learn, remember, and even use tools, making them some of the most remarkable creatures in the ocean.
